How I Got This Jar
One weekend, much earlier in the school year, I was walking along when a car
with three people in it drove by me. I noticed that the door to the car was
open, so I ran along side the car and jumped in. It turned out that the three
people were going to The Flats to try to find
some kind of entertainment. Instead of deciding to thro me out of the car
while it was speeding along, they decided to allow me to go with them on
their quest for fun. Eventually we wound up at
Max & Erma's family resteruant. I was not terribly hungry, and also my
teeth still hurt from all the dental work I had undergone before going to
school, so I only had a slice of Key Lime Pie. It was excellent. Anyway,
they served drinks, or at least their iced tea, in glass jars with Max &
Erma's designs painted on them. I asked our waitress if I got to keep the jar
after I finished the drink and she said, "No, but you can buy a jar." So, I
figured, "What the hell? Why not!" and I bought one. Fortunately, after we ate,
the three random people whose car I had just randomly jumped into as it sped by
were nice enough to take me back to Case, where they also happened to live, as
it turned out.
